Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock

Experience the movement that captured world-attention in these pressing times of life and sovereignty. Brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Indigenous filmmakers, AWAKE features the Indigenous-led defiance that forever changed the fight for clean water, our environment, and the future of our planet.
Special Guest speakers with experience at Standing Rock:
~ Theresa Halsey: Hunkpapa Lakota, grassroots organizer, educator, health researcher and radio producer of the Indian Voices Program on KGNU Community Radio. Sundays 3-4 p.m. (on http://kgnu.org )
~Clint Carroll: assistant professor of Ethnic Studies with a doctorate from the University of California Berkeley in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management… A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, his work with Cherokee government officials and communities centers on how tribal natural resource management is informed by traditional forms of decision-making and local environmental knowledge. His recent book, *Roots of Our Renewal: Ethnobotany and Cherokee Environmental Governance* is amazing.
