Freedom March 5280

March 24 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

March 9, 1965, to March 25, 1965, Martin Luther King led 2,000 diverse marchers across the Edmund Pettus Bridge from Selma to Montgomery, to fight for what they believed in, Freedom! We will never FORGET!

The fight is not over, our 45th President made racist comments on January 12, 2018, before his meeting regarding DACA. News Media states “International condemnation is growing after reports the president used an expletive during a meeting about immigrants from Africa, Haiti and El Salvador. While meeting with lawmakers, Trump reportedly said, “Why do we want all these people from Africa here? They’re shithole countries … We should have more people from Norway.” Trump also reportedly said, “Why do we need more Haitians? Take them out.”

He is denying that he said “shithole” but even the words that we should have more people from Norway with comparing to Haiti, Africa, and El Salvador are showing his true Racism.

The Dreamers also have a “Dream” that they shall too be free in the land that they were raised, that families will not be torn apart by deportation!

We just can’t sit still anymore. Our voices need to ring louder than the Liberty Bell, an iconic symbol of American independence, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that will bounce off of Buildings to Nations hear that we will NOT stand for Political Racism and Political Terrorism!

Martin Luther King, Jr. writes “I have a dream today … I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, that every hill and mountain shall be made low The rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight. And the Glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope”.
