Indivisible Lobby Day

February 28 @ 8:15 am - 12:00 pm

Our greatest impact is with our local officials, and there is nothing more powerful than a citizen lobby. We want to let our elected officials know that we are here, we care, and we are watching!

Join Indivisibles from across Colorado in our first Citizen Lobby Day. We will start our day at the Capitol in the cafe located in the basement. That is where we will learn about a few of the upcoming pressing bills and be guided in best lobbying practices. From there, you will go and engage with your elected officials. We’ll have an experienced lobbyist to help guide you through the process.

If you plan on traveling to Denver and need a place to stay, please comment below and we will try to match you with another Indivisible.

– HB18-1254, Prohibit Conversion Therapy Mental Health Provider: http://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb18-1245.

– HB18-1033, Employee Leave to Participate in Elections: http://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb18-1033. This is really exciting because the hearing for this bill is that afternoon, so feel free to come back after lunch and testify.

– Sunset of the Colorado Civil Rights Division: As many of you know, the GOP voted not to fund the CCRD until changes are made to the division. We do not bargain on the backs of our vulnerable communities.
