Do you miss the smell of fresh dirt and the feel of plants in your hands? So do we!
Join us for lunchtime seed cleanings from 11-1 on Wednesdays 1/17 and 1/24 for an ongoing project. We will focus on Bee Balm and Sunflower collected in Lory State Park.
Native seed is often incredibly expensive or unavailable commercially, making habitat restoration challenging. BY collecting native species that are adapted to thrive in the challenging climate of the Front Range, WRV volunteers provide this essential resource to future restoration projects and our public lands.
Have you ever wondered what happens with all that seed we collect on our projects? By joining us for this seed cleaning, you can learn how seeds are stored, cleaned and how they will be used in restoration projects in the future.
