Pollution, Public Transit, Traffic: Aurora City Council Forum

A coalition of 501c4 organizations invite Aurora residents to an environmental issue based candidate forum for all Aurora City Council Candidates.

The focus of the forum will be centered around the environment. This forum is formatted as an even combination of questions collected from the public and questions posed by each participating organization. Questions may include, but will not be limited to:

Traffic Congestion
Public Transportation
Water and Development
Achieving Paris Climate Accord Targets
Failed Race Track Initiative
Pollution (Suncor, Lowry)
Food Deserts
Fracking

This forum will be moderated by Kara Cook, the Toxics Director of US PIRG. This forum will take place Monday, October 23rd at Aurora Municipal Center’s City Cafe (second floor). Doors open at 6:30, the forum for Ward 1-3 candidates will begin at 6:45, for at large candidates at 7:50PM.

BRING YOUR BALLOTS! Folks are encouraged to bring their ballots and drop them off at the mailbox on west end of building afterwards.

350 Colorado, CIRC Action Fund, EDF Action, Indivisible CD-6, Sierra Club – Colorado Chapter, and Together We Will Colorado will be hosting this forum and are non-partisan organizations who do not endorse or support any candidate.

This event is being held for voter education purposes and all candidates have been invited to participate.
