Join us on September 30th in CELEBRATING our successful completion of 1,000 restoration projects, we have several projects going on that day and this happens to be one of them!
Take a volunteer vacation with WRV! Join us for this camp-out trip on our third year working to restore a native ecosystems along the spectacular red canyons lining the Dolores River.
Volunteers will remove small invasive Tamarisk trees and install beaver cages around native Cottonwoods to protect them from.. you guessed it… beavers.
If you’ve joined us for this one in previous years, we’ll be working and camping in a new area, up near the adorable little town of Gateway, CO. And this year we’ll be conducting river crossings to our work site by boat!!! This is a rare opportunity to camp (and float) with your WRV community and work in this truly scenic and historic area – once the stomping grounds of the infamous rimrockers and notable characters such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! We’ll be working with the Tamarisk Coalition and the Dolores River Restoration Partnership on this one, and we can’t wait!
