The Endangered Species Act is the last line of defense for species facing extinction like the gray wolf, grizzly bear, salmon, and orca. Yet Trump and his allies in Congress are trying to undermine or completely erase this landmark legislation. Since being signed into law by President Nixon in the 1970s, the Endangered Species Act has been a tremendous success, restoring the populations of wildlife on the brink of extinction and providing a model to restore biodiversity across the globe.
