Conectando a jóvenes y mentores de empresas ecológicas en el condado de Boulder

Play a role in the creation of a green economy at this program connecting green businesses with youth in our community.   All are welcome!   This event will include short presentations by business representatives about how and why they are “going green,” a panel discussion with students, and time for audience / panelist Q&A.

Many speak of the need for a “Green Economy” – an economy in balance with Earth’s living systems.  For this to happen in a timely way and be sustained, we need to empower youth to be part of the process – today’s youth will be tomorrow’s economy!   This program is part of an ALL Careers initiative that seeks to explicitly connect environmental understanding with ALL careers – not just those few usually thought of as “environmental careers.”

A Colorado Public Radio program highlights this approach: Colorado students say they want more solutions-oriented climate education now before it’s too late.    This public program on April 24 will help further these student efforts by providing real-world context.  Students, teachers, parents, members of the business community and the public are invited!   No reservations are required.   For more info, contact Martin Ogle at Martin.Ogle@LafayetteCO.gov.
