popping up from all over the Bay Area (see <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1FBEU0cdAGpScU0JrOlYFm8FrY1Bjr0_HsyW4hWOj74I\/htmlview?sle=true#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/u\/0\/d\/1k_QtI59cgD4bKtyIagbBZYOd1lL-GD5_v3kJpOm2nmY\/htmlview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/covid19freelanceartistresource.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>), and are picking up the mantle to build a robust, local map of the work happening here. A community resilience board! &#8212; Hooray!<\/p>\n<p>Because we recognize the urgency of this work, we&#8217;ve decided to publish the page\u00a0before it is 100% dialed (prototype, baby!)\u2014we&#8217;d love your feedback on what&#8217;s working\/not working and what you&#8217;d like to see.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>HOW TO USE THE FORM<\/b>: By filling out the form to your right (if on computer) or below (if on phone), it will populate the info grid at the bottom. Once we have enough information, we will move into our next phase: mapping and tracking the movement!! It may take a few minutes to upload to the response section below, thanks in advance for your patience.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>We are a purpose-driven organization, <\/b>(our recent motto: &#8220;if it&#8217;s not strategic, we&#8217;re not doing it!&#8221;), so we want to share some of our thinking behind the board:<\/p>\n<h3>1. Remove Barriers Around Community Giving and Receiving<\/h3>\n<p>In a country guided by the American Dream where folks are demanded to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, it can be debilitatingly difficult to ask for help. It doesn&#8217;t help that, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commfound.org\/files\/trends\/TRENDS2019-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Community Foundation&#8217;s 2019 Trends Report<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Our [Boulder County&#8217;s] charitable giving rates are <strong>well below the national average.<\/strong><b> <\/b>This is driven, in part, by residents not seeing the needs around them and not knowing enough about what local nonprofits are doing to address those needs.&#8221; (page 82)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>We are removing the barriers<\/b>\u2014now individuals, companies and organizations will have a way to ask directly for what they need (money, volunteer support, consulting advice, etc.) and folks in a position to help can step up and step in.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Mobilize and Keep People Safe<\/h3>\n<p>We are living in uncertain times. The shortages of food and other essentials (read: toilet paper, hand sanitizer) means that people who lack the luxury of abundant time and money are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coloradotrust.org\/content\/story\/pandemics-thrive-inequality?fbclid=IwAR0E5OWudX_KKeuWyhuPgAgm91l-xV_LOO5Hf_Esys-_Yf9dt57w2pGbMGo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">immediately at a disadvantage<\/a>. For those folks, these aren&#8217;t just uncertain times, they are unsafe times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We need to mobilize in support of our most impacted communities. Mobilize, keep people safe. &#8216;Nuff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>3. Normalize Community Resiliency<\/h3>\n<p>We can call back to the 2013 flood\u2014these aren&#8217;t just thousand-year events anymore. The onslaught of climate chaos means that these dire and dramatic events will hit harder and more regularly\u2014locally, regionally, globally. Community resilience is critical and must be normalized.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-7ra76xl-fba4085b7536a15a9f58425df4d1788d'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-2-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-2' aria-controls='tab-id-2-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Espa\u00f1ol<\/div><div id='tab-id-2-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-2-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Nos hemos inspirado en las hojas de la red de acci\u00f3n solidaria que est\u00e1n apareciendo en toda el \u00c1rea de la Bah\u00eda (ver aqu\u00ed, aqu\u00ed y aqu\u00ed), asi que estamos recogiendo toda la informaci\u00f3n posible para construir un mapa local robusto del trabajo que est\u00e1 sucediendo aqu\u00ed. \u00a1Una junta comunitaria resiliente! &#8211; \u00a1Hurra!<\/p>\n<p>Reconocemos la urgencia de este trabajo, asi que hemos decidido publicar la p\u00e1gina antes de que se marque al 100% (\u00a1este es solo el comienzo!). Nos gustar\u00eda recibir sus comentarios sobre lo que funciona \/ no funciona y lo que le gustar\u00eda ver. .<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><strong>C\u00d3MO USAR EL FORMULARIO:<\/strong> Al completar el formulario a su derecha (si est\u00e1 en la computadora) o debajo (si est\u00e1 en el tel\u00e9fono), se completar\u00e1 la cuadr\u00edcula de informaci\u00f3n en la parte inferior. La secci\u00f3n de respuesta se demorara un poco en cargar, gracias de antemano por su paciencia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Somos una organizaci\u00f3n impulsada por un prop\u00f3sito (nuestro lema reciente: &#8220;\u00a1si no es estrat\u00e9gico, no lo estamos haciendo!&#8221;). Por lo que queremos compartir algunos de nuestros pensamientos:<\/p>\n<h3>1) Eliminar las barreras alrededor del dar y recibir de la comunidad.<\/h3>\n<p>En un pa\u00eds guiado por el sue\u00f1o americano donde se exige a la gente que se levante con sus propias botas, puede ser muy dif\u00edcil pedir ayuda. No ayuda que, de acuerdo con el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commfound.org\/files\/trends\/TRENDS2019-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Informe de Tendencias 2019 de la Community Foundation:<\/a> \u201c<i>Nuestras tasas de donaciones caritativas [del condado de Boulder] est\u00e1n muy por debajo del promedio nacional. Esto se debe, en parte, a que los residentes no ven las necesidades que los rodean y no saben lo suficiente sobre lo que est\u00e1n haciendo las organizaciones sin fines de lucro locales para abordar esas necesidades <\/i>&#8220;. Para esas personas, estos no son solo tiempos inciertos, son tiempos inseguros.<\/p>\n<p>Necesitamos movilizarnos en apoyo de nuestras comunidades m\u00e1s afectadas. Movilizarse, mantener a las personas seguras.<\/p>\n<h3>Normalizar la resiliencia comunitaria.<\/h3>\n<p>Podemos volver a llamar a la inundaci\u00f3n de 2013 &#8211; estos ya no son s\u00f3lo eventos de mil a\u00f1os. La avalancha del caos clim\u00e1tico significa que estos eventos terribles y dram\u00e1ticos golpear\u00e1n con m\u00e1s fuerza y \u200b\u200bcon mayor regularidad, local, regional y global. La resiliencia comunitaria es cr\u00edtica y debe normalizarse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
