DESCRIPTION:Food Not Bombs Free Market Block Party\nWhen: April 17\, 5pm-10pm \nWhere: VisionQuest Brewery \nThe ultimate\, hidden truth of the world is that it is something we make\, and could just as easily make differently. We’ve been told for centuries that a “market” must be a site of cold calculation and extraction\, but we’re here to suggest it can just as easily be a site of radical care and joy. Why not build a world where we give because we can\, and feast because we’re together?\n\nJoin us for the Food Not Bombs Free Market Block Party on April 17th from 5 to 10 PM at Vision Quest Brewery. We will have free street food\, first aid kits\, clothing\, a bike repair station\, and an arts and crafts table. The soundtrack for the evening includes a salsa\, reggaeton\, and cumbia set by Monty Pop\, plus hip-hop performances by Preacher vs Choir and Time.\n\nDonations are welcome\, but they are never required. The only thing you truly owe anyone is your presence. Let’s stop pretending the world has to be this way and start acting like we’re already free.

No Other Land\, directed by a four-person collective of Israeli and Palestinian activists\, is what they describe as an “act of resistance on the path to justice in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.” \nDoors open at 6:30 pm with the screening beginning at 7 pm. Following the film\, we will host a talkback to unpack themes from the film. \nWhile entry to the event is free\, we encourage a $10 donation to the Bright Stars of Bethlehem scholarship fund.
