This celebration of the textile arts explores weaving, spinning, crochet, pompom making, indigo dyeing, mending and embroidery. A special hands-on community sculpture, hosted by BLDG 61, the makerspace at the Boulder Public Library, will offer the possibility to create community art together.
From a mobile home park in Boulder, to a jail cell in Denver, to an unlikely council gathering in Gunnison, the three Democracy Cycle short plays reflect the stories of distinct Colorado communities. Join us for staged readings of these works that ask: where can we find shelter—a home—in these turbulent times? The answer may not be as far as we think.

Come learn willows with a willow expert, Gwen Kittel. Willows occur throughout Colorado in wetlands, along streams, ditches, and in forests. This tour is for anyone interested in riparian and wetland ecology and in learning (or re-learning) their willows. It is designed for beginners as well as for experts. We’ll see as many as 15 different species of willow on this tour.
