SUMMARY:Spaceship Earth Multimedia Presentation Boulder Arts Week!
DESCRIPTION:Spaceship Earth Multimedia Presentation Boulder Arts Week!\nWhen: April 6\, 5:30-6:30pm \nWhere: Junkyard Social Club \nLEARN MORE HERE! \nJoin us for Boulder Arts Week and celebrate the 56th Anniversary of Earth Day in this wonderful space that is woman owned and LGBTQ+ friendly at Junkyard Social Club in beautiful Boulder\, Colorado! \nAs a musician and activist\, I will be sharing my multimedia presentation with art\, photography\, science and live music (Laurie D) I created in 2012\, Spaceship Earth: What Can I Do? Ask yourself “What can I do?” You can be part of the solution! Have fun learning all kinds of simple acts we can all take to create more sustainable communities and this beautiful planet we share! \nOur precious planet is like a spaceship out in space. We only have so much water\, air\, resources that will NOT be re-supplied! The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) states that over 40% of our greenhouse emissions come from the way products are extracted\, produced\, transported\, and gotten rid of (even recycling takes energy). They also say that striving for zero waste is one of the easiest and quickest ways to fight climate change! \n“Spaceship earth is not really a metaphor: we’ve got one planet\, and it’s experiencing unprecedented mechanical difficulties. This presentation helps remind us how we can do our part to get it back on course.” – Bill McKibben best selling author and founder of 350.0rg \n“Laurie’s “What Can I Do?” Spaceship Earth is powerful!” – Jared Polis – Governor Colorado \n“This woman taught me more in an hour performance about what I can do to help save our planet than I’ve learned in the past 10 years!” – Stacy

Planned by BVSD students and held at a BVSD School! \n\n\n\n\nThis program will introduce the ALL Careers Approach to Education to BVSD students and others. Significantly\, it is being planned by BVSD students and will be held at a BVSD school! It will include a panel discussion with businesses (JAX and Treehouse learning) and students\, engaging activities\, and ideas galore for how to take the ALL Careers approach and increase your 21st century job readiness! \nCome at 6:00 pm for a 30 minute gather-up period to mingle\, learn about the CU Sustainable Business Club and Sharpe Sustainability Center and enjoy free pizza! The program starts at 6:30. Thank you to JAX Mercantile and JR Heckman LLC for sponsoring free pizza! \nThe ALL Careers approach connects environmental and energy understanding to every career path — not just the small subset traditionally labeled as “environmental or green careers.” The goal is to inspire and equip young people with the knowledge that environmental principles are relevant in every field. This is a path to a green economy that empowers us all – especially youth! \nRSVP’s at this Eventbrite Site encouraged; “walk-ins” welcome.

SUMMARY:After We March\, We Organize! Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group
DESCRIPTION:📢✊ After We March\, We Organize! 🔥 Solidarity Warriors Indivisible Action Group 🗽\nWhen: Wednesdays\,  6pm-7:30pm \nWhere: Virtual \nREGISTER HERE! \nMass demonstrations like 🚫👑 No Kings prove one thing beyond doubt: the people are AWAKE and FIRED UP! 🔥 But rallying in the streets is just the beginning. The real power comes from what we do after the march. Research shows that no movement with 3.5% of the population in continuous mobilization has ever failed 📊 — but only when they go beyond demonstrations into mass noncooperation\, noncompliance\, and strategic action that dismantles the pillars holding up authoritarianism. That’s exactly what we’re here to build. 🛠️ Come learn the organizing skills we wish we had known from the start — and let’s transform that protest energy into lasting\, unstoppable change. 💪 \n📚🎤 Every week we feature guest speakers and training on topics like: \n🛡️ How to Protest Safely 🌎 Immigrant Rights 🪶 Indigenous History 🔐 Cybersecurity ✊ Community Organizing Tactics and much more! \n🌟 About Solidarity Warriors: We’re an action-focused\, Indivisible group 💥 born after the November election and proud lead organizers of No Kings 2 in Denver 🏔️. We’re people from across the nation — many in Colorado — united by one commitment: action over grievance. 🎯 We don’t just talk about what’s wrong — we plan\, organize\, and partner with marginalized communities to make things right. ✊🏽 \n🚨 Come ready to answer one question: What are YOU going to DO? 👉 Join us. The movement needs you. 🗽✊🔥
