As scientists raise the alarm about the decline of insects, the opposite trend is occurring with mosquitoes as populations are increasing. This webinar will describe the City's mosquito management approach by managing ecosystems and share the scientific rationale for why this approach is important, not only to reduce disease risk to people, but to have a positive impact on wetland insects, birds, amphibians, and overall ecosystem health.

Students will explore the diverse world of bees and learn how to tell them apart. They will also learn about the challenges they are facing and how they can help protect these pollinators. This class will include introductions on the information and activity, a lesson, and support time for Q&A about the topic.
