In this 90-minute workshop\, we’ll explore how to shift from strain toward embodied compassion by drawing on both contemporary science and timeless contemplative wisdom. \nTogether\, we’ll explore how compassion-based skills support responding—rather than reacting—to stress and overload\, and how we can intentionally awaken our innate capacity for aligned care when the weight of caring begins to feel like too much. PPAN will be on site serving treats\, drinks\, and arts & crafts materials for you to create pollinator-themed Valentines.  \nGift your handmade cards to someone special\, or PPAN will send them to Colorado Representatives on your behalf to ask for them to show pollinators some love during this legislative session through two exciting bills that they are championing: \nThe first\, SB26-065\, or The SEED Act\, which would significantly reduce pesticide poisoning in our state. Currently\, almost every corn seed planted in Colorado (as well as many other grains) is pre-coated with a powerful “neonic” systemic insecticide dust. This bill aims to help Colorado adopt the same system that’s been working well in Canada—and just passed in NY and VT—where neonics are only applied to our food when necessary\, rather than preemptively. We’ll break down the political moment we’re in\, the authoritarian playbook driving these attacks\, and the role those of us who are white and/or citizens can play in pushing back effectively and strategically. \nEach session will have live transcription and will be recorded. The recording will be sent out to everyone who registers within 48 hours after each session. \nIn the first session\, you will: \n\nLearn to recognize and anticipate “Moments of Crisis” — and why they’re central to the authoritarian strategy\nUnderstand how direct support and crisis response work together in immigrant justice organizing\nGet grounded in the principles of strategic noncooperation and how it builds people power\n\nIn the second session\, you will: \n\nLearn how to provide direct support for immigrant communities\nGet clear on next steps you’re taking in your community\n\nWhether you’re brand new or have been in the fight for years\, this training will give you political clarity\, strategic tools\, and an invitation to join us in deeper solidarity.
