Our grief is an expression of love. \nGrieving and singing together helps us build our collective power and remember that we shine brighter when we act together. It is through honoring and sharing our grief that we sustain our resilience and create the energy and aliveness for what is needed next. \nWe welcome all who will join us in peace and ceremony. We welcome you as you are: afraid\, angry\, sad\, numb\, unsure\, and those carrying more than words can hold. \nIf you wish\, please bring something to offer to the creek – a flower\, a stone\, something that will not cause harm to the ecology.

The event is created by doctoral candidate at CU Boulder Naim Aburaddi as part of his Ph.D. dissertation project. \nPresented at Fiske Planetarium\, this live\, multi-dimensional show weaves together performance\, real-time livestreams of Gaza’s night sky\, and 360-degree visual storytelling. Through imagined skies and embodied realities\, the experience traces fragments of life before and after genocide\, holding space for loss\, resilience\, and imagination. \n“Under the dome\, the buzzing of drones dissipates\, and the sky is reclaimed as a source of hope rather than horror. Under the same moon\, I reflect on one of the darkest moments in modern history. Under the same sky\, I imagine a liberated Gaza to survive the ongoing brutal presence.” \nThis is not only a show\, but a collective act of remembrance\, survival\, and reclamation.

Our goal is to build 50-100 signs that will be available for the community to use at events\, vigils\, rallies\, marches\, etc. \nFeel free to drop-in and stay as long as you would like! We will have food and beverages available. During this session\, participants will learn about the lab’s work and how it approaches housing survivors of domestic violence with Indigenous design and community-centered planning. \nMASS Design’s Sustainable Native Communities Design Lab’s mission is to close the wealth gap in Indian Country through culturally-responsive housing development and Native home ownership. Together\, we’ll explore how culturally grounded design and community planning can support safety\, healing\, and housing stability for survivors of domestic violence.
