The Ancestral New Earth Festival is a student-led, community-centered gathering rooted in healing, art, Afrofuturism, ancestral remembrance, and collective care. This festival is part of a five-day Afrofuturism Festival at Naropa University facilitated by Ramon, Regina, and MCAC.
FESTIVAL DAY STRUCTURE
12:00–1:00 PM | Community Ceremony & Gathering
Hosted by MCIC / MCAC
Opening ritual, grounding, intention-setting, and community welcome.
1:00–5:30 PM | Workshops
30–45 minute student and alumni-led workshops.
12:00–8:00 PM | Vendor Space
Vendors offering art, healing services, food, and goods.
All vendors must bring their own tables.
CULTURAL CENTER – DE-STRESS SPACE
Includes singing by Dante, sound healing by alumni facilitator, essential oils, and rest space.
Care coordination by Amber.
6:00–8:00 PM | Open Mic
Music, poetry, spoken word, performance, ceremony.
