Celebration of the Life of Joanna Macy: Live Screening and Potluck at Naropa’s Culture Center
When: Oct 3, 6pm
Where: Naropa University, Culture Center
You are warmly invited to join us for a community potluck hosted by the Joanna Macy Center for Resilience and Regeneration on Friday October 3 to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Joanna Macy, visionary, teacher, and beloved friend of Naropa University.
We’ll gather at the Culture Center at Naropa for a joyful, heartfelt screening of the global “Celebration of the Life of Joanna Macy,” coming to us via livestream from the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, California. As we share food, stories, and music, we invite our Boulder County neighbors and GreenFaith partners to join in the spirit of gratitude and remembrance.
Please bring a potluck dish to share and join in community.
Doors at 6:00pm, intentional feasting at 6:30pm Mountain Time.
The screening starts at 8:00 PM Mounatin Time.
This event will be an evening of music, poetry and teachings. We will move through the four phases of the Spiral of the Work That Reconnects: Coming From Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain for the World, Seeing With New Eyes, and Going Forth as we honor Joanna’s legacy of activism and deep ecology.
Whether you attend in person or join via livestream, all are truly welcome.
There is no cost to participate, and online registration for the global celebration is available here. The livestream will be recorded and made available to those registered. If you would like to attend in person at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco please register here.
