Boulder Chapter Meeting: How 30 years of restoration, conservation, and business experience might inform the future of ecological restoration projects and their economic value

Presented by John Giordanengo, M.S., Principal Restoration Economist/Ecologist for Economic Restoration Services
February 5, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, in-person and virtual meeting

While studying business and ecology in the ‘90s John became intrigued by the challenge of preserving earth’s ecosystems while meeting humanity’s economic needs. John’s ensuing work in restoration, business, and native seeds have since stoked a new question: Are the conservation & restoration paradigms of the past fifty years adequate to ensure conservation of earth’s ecosystems into the future? There’s a lot riding on the answer. John’s talk melds ecology and economics to gain insights to a sustainable economic future, drawing from Colorado (and around the globe). The result is a plant-based paradigm for balancing Earth’s ecological needs with our social and economic needs.

Directions to the fire department and Zoom login instructions will be sent in the registration receipt.
