Join the Colorado Native Plant Society for this Boulder chapter meeting to discuss soil fauna and soil heath. Steve Fonte, Assistant Professor, CSU Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, will speak about soil fauna, providing an overview of life in the soil, with a focus on soil macrofauna (e.g., earthworms, ants, beetles) and the fundamental soil processes that they regulate. He will also discuss how we can best manage our soils and farms to promote soil biological communities and get the most out of their beneficial activities.
