Where: Virtual
On August 28, 2024, the Sierra Club Military Outdoors (SCMO) campaign will share findings from our newest report: The Outdoor Access for the Military Community Summer 2024 Recommendations Report.
This report, created in conjunction with the University of Kentucky’s Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky, proposes key recommendations centered around increasing access and accessibility to the outdoors for the military community. We’re proud to share the culmination of our months-long effort that included a national survey and live listening sessions with veterans and military communities across the country.
Join us for an hour-long webinar to hear more about the report, listen to community reactions, and participate in an open Q&A session.
Featured speakers include:
- Gerry Seavo James, Deputy Campaign Director, Outdoors For All, Sierra Club
- Sherman Neal II, Deputy Campaign Director, Military Outdoors, Sierra Club
- Tammy Barlett, Vice President of Government Affairs for Student Veterans of America
- JR Hunte Outdoor Programs Coordinator and SCMO Chapter Leader for the Minnesota Chapter
