Happy pride month! June is a time to root in history, and take account of the current moment to make way for the more liberated, queerer future we ALL of us need. Queer people have come a long way, but the far right’s current attacks on the LGBT community- from drag bans to slashing trans health services- are dangerous and deadly, especially for queer people of color.

What is the role of white queers in this time? How do we reckon with privilege and marginalization? What stories and legacies light the way for white people looking to build a more equitable world?

Join SURJ in a conversation for queer people and those who love them with actor and activist, Cynthia Nixon. We’ll explore these questions, the needs of this critical moment, and ways you can take action to advance the gay agenda.
