Come to the library to hear Jonathan Koehn, Director of the City of Boulder's Climate Initiatives Department, explain the measurements the city uses to estimate the amount of GHGs that come from different sources and to determine the trends over time.

The Colorado Electric Transmission Authority (CETA) engages in transmission planning activities that would increase grid reliability, help Colorado meet its clean energy goals, and aid in economic development. CETA has the authority to issue and sell revenue bonds to finance and develop transmission facilities located partly or entirely within Colorado. CETA is an independent public body and political subdivision of the state that performs an essential public function.
Pursuing a zero-carbon footprint means the proliferation of intermittent resources like solar and wind. For the electric grid to be operated efficiently, then a new type of resource needs to be added to the mix: “Grid Flexibility”. This new resource combines and orchestrate peak management, load shifting, time-varying rate design and end-user engagement.
