Do Mosquito Control Programs Make You Safer?
Do Mosquito Control Programs Make You Safer?
Join PPAN for our May webinar with expert speaker Rella Abernathy from the City of Boulder: Do Mosquito Control Programs Make You Safer? As scientists raise the alarm about the decline of insects, the opposite trend is occurring with mosquitoes as populations are increasing. This webinar will describe the City's mosquito management approach by managing ecosystems and share the scientific rationale for why this approach is important, not only to reduce disease risk to people, but to have a positive impact on wetland insects, birds, amphibians, and overall ecosystem health.

Boulder Farmers Market
Boulder Farmers Market
Join Boulder County Farmers Market in the heart of downtown Boulder on 13th Street (between Canyon and Arapahoe) for the longest market season in the state of Colorado. Our Boulder markets on Wednesday and Saturday offer the very best of the season—from farm fresh produce to locally raised meat, poultry, and eggs. You can also load up on bread and baked goods, plants and flowers, and Colorado-crafted specialty and ready-to-eat foods from our great vendors.
Longmont Farmers Market
Longmont Farmers Market
Long before Longmont was know as a bustling tech center, it was sustained by thousands of acres of farmland — starting with the establishment of a flour mill in 1887, and later with the vegetable cannery built in 1889. These days, Longmont farms provide much more than just sugar beets, and preserved farm land in Longmont and beyond helps fill our market with fresh, seasonal vegetables, dairy products, and Colorado-raised meats. We’re proud to be a growers-only market, meaning every product at the Longmont Farmers Market is created locally and sold by the vendors who produce it.
Teen Volunteer Day
Teen Volunteer Day
The volunteers will participate in weeding, planting, potting, general spring clean-up and outdoor tasks, as they get their hands digging in the dirt, helping our production farm, as our busy growing season takes off! At the end their volunteering, they are welcome to play and cuddle with our new baby dwarf goats and new lambs!
