Hidden Stories of Waneka Lake; Guided Walk. Waneka Lake and nearby Open Spaces have an amazing story to tell – one of pioneers and power plants; wildlife and waterways; farming and families . . . and much more. Take a leisurely, 1.2 mile walk to learn some of these hidden stories! These walks will be led by staff and volunteers from the Lafayette Historical Society, Lafayette Open Space and Lafayette Senior Center.
