Through her friendship with second-generation survivor Mitchie Takeuchi, the film captures Setsuko’s decades of activism culminating in the achievement of the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty and her Setsuko's Nobel Peace Prize speech.
The annual Peace Weekend event is a key feature of the Boulder Peace Zone. It is designed to experientially engage the community in the seven Peace Game actions, weave together the community’s social fabric, showcase cooperation, and celebrate achievements.
