Come to the library to hear Jonathan Koehn, Director of the City of Boulder's Climate Initiatives Department, explain the measurements the city uses to estimate the amount of GHGs that come from different sources and to determine the trends over time.

Roots of Injustice, Seeds of Change: Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples

In this 2-hour participatory program, we experience the history of the colonization of Turtle Island, the land that is now known as the United States. The story is told through the words of Indigenous leaders, European/American leaders, and Western historians. We engage with this history through experiential exercises and small group discussions.

The Jewish Youth Climate Movement (JYCM) is a Gen Z-led movement dedicated to combating climate change and environmental injustice from a Jewish lens. Our goal is to make taking collective action towards climate change a central, defining feature of what it means to be Jewish over the next decade, empowering the next generation of Jewish youth to be leaders in our fight to build a sustainable and equitable world for all. The JYCM Climate Activism Series equips Jewish teens with the knowledge, skills, and support to organize their communities and fight for climate justice.

Antisemitism & the Climate Crisis: A Gen Z Discussion Space

JYCM is running recurring discussion gathering spaces for Jewish members of Gen Z from across the country to grapple with antisemitism in the world and in their lives, and how this antisemitism interfaces with their acute sense of climate anxiety and other emotions. All gatherings focus on balancing grief, healing, emotional resilience practices, and organizing strategies. Please register ahead of time.

Compost Feasibility Study Update Tonight!

Boulder County Public Works and its consultant will present an update on the compost facility feasibility study. Eco-Cycle will present information on the current state of composting. County Commissioners will attend and participate in a discussion after the presentations. No registration is necessary, all are welcome!
