Healing this Broken Land: Indigenous Leadership in the Face of Climate Crisis

Virtual

Through the leadership of Indigenous people, so many of us have come into an understanding of the violent history of Thanksgiving and have changed our relationship to the holiday. In that spirit, join SURJ, other movement organizations, and Indigenous leaders to deepen your commitment to and understanding of present-day Indigenous struggles.

This year, the annual "rethinking Thanksgiving" webinar will focus on the role of Indigenous leadership and Indigenous sovereignty in our collective fight against climate catastrophe. We'll hear from Indigenous climate justice leaders about their communities fighting at the heart of the issue, and how the Doctrine of Discovery and legacy of colonization fuels the current climate crisis.
