Spring Forest Bathing Walk

Flagstaff Nature Center Flagstaff Summit Rd, Boulder, CO, us

Forest bathing, or forest therapy, is a relational practice we invite you to join us for on Friday, May 10th, from 9:30-11:30am, setting forth from the Flagstaff Nature Center. It will be about taking time to unplug, slow down, and connect with our amazing senses while in the forest we are so fortunate to be near. Through a series of sensory awakening invitations, this practice and our walk will foster our relationship with the Natural World, ourselves, and others.

Biodiversity in Boulder County: Past, Present & Future

Ron Stewart Parks & Open Space Building 5201 St Vrain Road Longmont CO 80503

Join volunteer naturalists as we explore the evolution of biodiversity in Boulder County over time. What plants, animals, birds, and insects were present in 1720, 1820, 1920, 2020? How do these changes compare to biodiversity evolution over much longer periods of time on the front range? What animals, plants, and life forms might we experience on a hike in 2120? How might we respond to these unprecedented changes and help protect, or even restore, some of our ‘more than human kin’ that share our Boulder County home?

Longmont Farmers Market

The Boulder County Fairgrounds (9595 Nelson Road, Longmont, CO 80501). 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont

Long before Longmont was know as a bustling tech center, it was sustained by thousands of acres of farmland — starting with the establishment of a flour mill in 1887, and later with the vegetable cannery built in 1889. These days, Longmont farms provide much more than just sugar beets, and preserved farm land in Longmont and beyond helps fill our market with fresh, seasonal vegetables, dairy products, and Colorado-raised meats. We’re proud to be a growers-only market, meaning every product at the Longmont Farmers Market is created locally and sold by the vendors who produce it.
