Gaia Mika
Hive Pollinator
I am happy to be part of this Hive project bringing a pollinator perspective to the work of climate justice and the movement toward more caring and connected community. These days I am most interested in developing our capacities to listen deeply to the other-than-human world and to re-learn how to live in reciprocity with this place, this land, so much of this having been disregarded/forgotten in white modernist culture. I’ve been a peace and social justice activist for most of my adult life participating in many different orgs and projects. I’m a retired clinical psychologist and worked for years as a teacher, diversity trainer, consultant and psychotherapist at the Counseling Center at CU Boulder. One of the things I am most proud of is that I helped found and taught in the INVST Program at CU which educates students to become leaders for social change efforts in their communities.
