Longmont Food Rescue

Longmont Food Rescue’s mission is to redistribute nutritious food that retailers have deemed food ‘waste’ to feed hungry, homeless, and low-income populations directly.

Our cores values are:

1. Reduction of hunger
2. Being an ally for food justice throughout Longmont, CO and surrounding areas
3. Just-in-time, collaborative food redistribution
4. Reducing carbon footprint and landfill waste

Through partnerships with local and state governments, businesses, charities, and other organizations that share our core values, our work is to close the gap in food insecurity in Longmont and surrounding mountains towns, while simultaneously reducing landfill waste. We envision a food system built on the conscientious collaboration of community members who are committed to a sustainable system of food practices.
