2024 Landback Gala

Thank you for your interest in attending Spirit of The Sun's first Summer Solstice LANDBACK Gala! Spirit of the Sun envisions a return of land to Indigenous stewards, where we can operate our programs, care for bison to live off that land, and preserve our cultural practices. Our collective goals stand in solidarity with the LANDBACK movement to dismantle white supremacy while radically transforming this country and standing for collective liberation for all Black, Indigenous, People of Color.

Roots of Injustice, Seeds of Change: Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples

In this 2-hour participatory program, we experience the history of the colonization of Turtle Island, the land that is now known as the United States. The story is told through the words of Indigenous leaders, European/American leaders, and Western historians. We engage with this history through experiential exercises and small group discussions. And we are invited to consider how we can build relationships with Indigenous peoples based on truth, respect, justice, and our shared humanity. Facilitated by TRR's Native and non-Native teams. Appropriate for high school students and adults.

Join us for a rare opportunity for Boulder youth to meet Southern Arapaho youth who would like to share their culture. This youth-to-youth cultural education may explore Arapaho hand games, social dancing, storytelling, and Native American sign language.

Walk for Palestine

Join our 5K Walk for Palestine from anywhere in the world to raise funds to purchase much-needed medical equipment such as laboratory equipment, an ultra sound, an x-ray unit, emergency room bed, and other assorted needs to open up a clinic to serve the residents of Askar Refugee Camp.
